We’re excited to tell you about the contest we’re running on Bookreporter.com, where you can enter to win an “I’d Rather Read Jane Austen” tote bag filled with literary travel goodies (including a finished copy of Novel Destinations, key lime cookies from the Ernest Hemingway Home in Key West, a Little Women bookmark from Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House in Massachusetts, daffodil note cards and a quill pen from Wordsworth’s Dove Cottage, a Bliss Tried + Blue Travel Kit, and much more!) Twenty more lucky readers will win a copy of Novel Destinations. Click here for more details about the contest, which is open to U.S. residents only. We were recently interviewed by the Bookreporter.com’s founder, Carol Fitzgerald (who fortuitously introduced me to Shannon before I moved to London three years ago), and you can read the interview here.
For booksellers and others in the industry attending Book Expo America in Los Angeles later this week, look for Shannon signing copies of Novel Destinations on Saturday, May 31, from 3-4 p.m. in the National Geographic booth (#1324).

Wow! What a great set of prizes! I’d ALWAYS rather be reading Jane Austen. I also love Bookmarks magazine. As a fan of both travel writing and “classic” American and British literature, Novel Destinations is definitely on my wish list now. In fact, I may have to buy it for myself as a birthday gift! I’m so glad I found your site (via Book Club Girl). I will definitely share it with my readers at my blogs (“Austen-tatious” and “The Bookworm’s Hideout”).

Hi JaneFan!
I just checked out your blogs and they’re great, especially Austen-tatious! Lots of fascinating info on there. Do you ever get over to England for the Jane Austen festival in September? I didn’t make it last year as we were putting the finishing touches on our manscript, but I certainly plan on attending this year as it’s so easy to get to Bath from London. If you do buy the book, let us know what you think. Jane gets her own chapter, of course
